With the Philadelphia primary election taking place on Tuesday, May 16, every vote will make a difference and NBC10 wants to help our viewers make an informed choice. NBC10’s Lauren Mayk and Telemundo 62’s Valeria Aponte-Feliciano take a look at all the major candidates in the “Philadelphia’s 100th Mayor” special.

Nine Democrats and one Republican are currently running in the race to be Philadelphia’s 100th mayor. 

With the Philadelphia primary election taking place on Tuesday, May 16, every vote will make a difference and NBC10 wants to help our viewers make an informed choice. 

NBC10’s goal is to hear from the candidates as much as possible on the issues that voters care about most. We're also showing the candidates' responses to the biggest questions, concerns and controversies surrounding their campaigns.

Crime is a major focus. We took a deep dive into the candidates’ plans to get the city’s gun violence crisis under control, tackle the opioid crisis and deal with other public safety issues.

We also looked at how money and endorsements are influencing the race, and how different groups are pushing the candidates to support their causes.
