RAW: Baby Harp Seal Found at Jersey Shore

A 3-week-old male harp seal was found stranded on the beach in Long Beach Island, N.J. Saturday. Pups are typically born in the Arctic, but officials from the Marine Mammal Stranding Center think this guy was born locally. The seal is doing well and has already begun molting his white fur. He’s expected to be released into the wild in about a month.
