Ryan Howard on Bottle Incident: ‘I Do Take It Personal'

Philadelphia detectives are trying to track down the man who threw a beer bottle at Ryan Howard during Saturday’s Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park. The first baseman spoke on camera for the first time Monday telling reporters he “definitely” does take the incident personally. “Everybody, in whatever field it is that they do, whether you change oil; whether you work at a grocery store or whatever, if somebody came and threw a beer bottle at you or something like that you’d be upset,” he said. Police are waiting to review surveillance video from inside the ballpark as part of their investigation. So far, the beer bottle thrower’s identity is unknown.
