The Sixers have found their man.
The Sixers have hired Elton Brand as their general manager, sources confirmed to NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark. Brand, who was also the vice president of basketball operations, will be elevated from that role. Brand is also already on board as the Delaware Blue Coats' GM.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.
Brand, who played two stints with the Sixers, beat out a host of in-house and external candidates to claim the job vacated after Bryan Colangelo's departure.
