Joel Embiid Fined $10,000 for Inappropriate Language on Social Media

Joel Embiid was fined $10,000 on Saturday for using inappropriate language on social media.

NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki VanDeWeghe announced the fine. The Sixers' center said "F--- LaVar Ball" on Instagram Live July 4, responding to comments made by Ball, the father of Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball, about Embiid and Ben Simmons.

The feud between Ball and Embiid has continued this week with Ball insulting Embiid's intelligence and Embiid appearing to tweet a shot at Lonzo for a lackluster summer league performance.

Their feud began on draft night when Ben Simmons subtweeted Ball and Embiid added fuel to the fire.
