Allen Iverson Crosses Up Stephen Colbert on the Late Show

Philadelphia 76ers' legend Allen Iverson was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night and had an entrance unlike any before.

A.I. came out with a basketball and did his patented crossover move on the host. Colbert didn't stand a chance.

Colbert is an All-Star interviewer when the subject is in his political wheelhouse, but the host didn't seem as comfortable interviewing the sports legend.

Iverson spoke about the emotions he felt getting elected into the Hall of Fame, his own keeping-it-real personal style, as well as his infamous crossover on Michael Jordan during A.I.'s rookie season.

"Still today, little kids 5 or 6 years old come up to me, and they don't say, 'are you Allen Iverson?' They say, 'you're the guy that crossed up Michael Jordan, aren't you.'"

"It was a special moment in my career because that was my idol. If it wasn't for him I never would have been a basketball player. I never would have had the vision. I truly wanted to be like Mike. That night we was just in a war. And when you're in a war, as much as you love the person you're playing against, my Philly teammates, and my Philly fans, I was on their side."
