Police Release Body Cam Footage of Lenny Dykstra's Latest Arrest

Linden, New Jersey police have released body camera footage from the most recent arrest of former Phillies and Mets outfielder Lenny Dykstra last month.

Dykstra was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats after a strange incident with an Uber driver back in May. Dykstra was also charged with drug-related offenses as various illegal substances where found in his possession.

In the footage, Dykstra can be seen attempting to tell officers his side of the story, one in which he claims the Uber driver "kidnapped" him. He's visibly upset.

The police also shared body camera footage of the Uber driver from the same incident.

"He told me he was going to shoot me," the driver said to police.

Dykstra was a member of the 1993 Phillies team that was honored recently at Citizens Bank Park. He was not invited to that event "because the team believed his post-career scrapes with the law would have been a distraction," according to NBC Sports Philadelphia's Jim Salisbury.

Dykstra will have his day in court on July 18.
