Phillies closer Brad Lidge pitched a perfect inning Monday at Double-A Reading while coming back from shoulder and elbow problems.
The former All-Star closer hasn't pitched in the majors this season.
The 34-year-old right-hander struck out two in the sixth inning Monday in an Eastern League game for the R-Phils against the Trenton Thunder.
Lidge's final line care of @RPhils Twitter: 1.0 IP, 2 Ks, 13 pitches: 4 balls, 9 strikes.
“Everything feels pretty good right now,” said Lidge. “I’m very happy about where I’m at.”
Lidge already made two appearances in Class A this season, giving up one run in three innings.
