Here's When You Can Start to Bet on Sports in New Jersey

A Supreme Court ruling has paved the way for states all across the U.S. to allow sports gambling, and it all started locally in the State of New Jersey. So how will this impact you? We take a look.

Have plans for Memorial Day yet? Change them.

According to a story from USA TODAY, where they spoke to Dennis Drazin, president and CEO of Darby Development LLC, which operates Monmouth Park, the park will be taking legal sports wagers for the first time on Monday, May 28. That's less than two weeks away.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court came down with a landmark decision in favor of the state of New Jersey, striking down legislation that prohibited wagering on sports outside of Nevada. New Jersey was the state most prepared to act upon this news and will be first out of the gate to offer sports betting. Several other states, including Pennsylvania, could be soon to follow.

Fans will be able to wager on anything Las Vegas offers, including popular bets such as the NBA Finals, MLB and NFL win totals, and eventually, NFL games.
