Get the Last Kixx Out of the Spectrum

The final Philadelphia Kixx indoor soccer game will be played inside the Philadelphia Spectrum on Sunday afternoon.

The game is just the latest last event in the seemingly-never-ending goodbye to the arena known as "America's Showplace."

The Spectrum has housed Kixx soccer since the team was founded 13 years ago. The Kixx are in negotiations with another Philadelphia are arena and hope to return next season, according to Kixx Vice President Internal Operations David Deal.

The game being played also holds importance. The Kixx (9-8) must beat the Massachusetts Twisters and get some help to make the National Indoor Soccer League playoffs.

The 4:05 game is also "Fan Appreciation Day." There will be plenty of giveaways and promotions for fans.

Tickets are still available (and cheap) if you want to witness the last soccer game at the Spectrum. Call 1-888-888-KiXX (5499) or go to the Kixx Web site for more details.
