The man charged with killing a Pennsylvania state trooper during an ambush has been added to the FBI's 10 most wanted list.
Officials describe the suspect, 31-year-old Eric Frein, as a self-taught survivalist who hates police.
Authorities say putting Frein on the most wanted list will allow the FBI to use more resources in the manhunt. The agency is also offering a $100,000 reward.
Police said Thursday they believe the shooter is still in the rural area where the attack occurred.
Frein is accused of gunning down 38-year-old Cpl. Bryon Dickson last week outside a barracks in the Pocono Mountains. Another trooper was wounded.
The development comes just hours after Dickson's funeral.
