Soccer Referee Dies After Punch To The Head

A man in Michigan died after an angry player at an adult league soccer game punched him, NBC affiliate WDIV reported. The player punched John Bieniewicz as he was pulling a red card from his pocket to eject him from the game. "A meaningless men's league game and a great guy, a great human being, is dead now at 44-years-old," said Jim Acho, a friend of Bieniewicz. The player initially fled and was later arrested by police.
