New Mammal Species Discovered by Smithsonian Researcher

A Smithsonina researcher discovers a new raccoon-sized mammal called “olinguito”, It is a rare breed native to South America and it was overlooked by zoologists until recently. There is evidence that several American zoos in the late 90’s mistakenly grouped the olinguito with a closely related “olingo.”
