NJ veteran battling cancer with help from daughter – a Penn Medicine nurse and Eagles cheerleader

Abraham Bren describes himself as “a professional sick person for the last 12 years” as he battles cancer, a heart attack and other health issues. Now, the military veteran’s daughter, Gabriela Bren, works as an oncology nurse at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center, helping him along his health journey. All the health problems and hard work haven’t stop Abraham from singing in a salsa band and Gabriela from dancing as an Eagles cheerleader. NBC10’s Brenna Weick shares their story of love and perseverance.
