Missing Hiker, German Shepherd Found Alive in Sierra Mountains

A Rocklin, California, hiker and his dog were missing for about four days in the Sierra before they were found alive and well in Placer County, the sheriff’s office said. Cody Michael, 23, and his German shepherd, Bauer, were spotted about 10 a.m. in the Cherry Point area by a Black Hawk helicopter pilot and its crew. “Words don’t describe it, emotions do,” Michael’s father, Howard, told KCRA.
