Quitting Smoking Still Beneficial Despite Weight Gain: Study

A new study by the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that while smokers may gain weight after kicking the habit, it could still save their life in a number of ways. People who never smoked had about a 70 percent reduction in the risk of having a heart attack or stroke, compared to people who kept smoking.
