Malia turns 16 on the Fourth of July, making her eligible for a learner's permit in the District.
The first lady also talked about her youngest daughter, Sasha.
She says Sasha loves dancing and takes classes several times a week.
Mrs. Obama says her girls are just like every other kid in D.C. – counting down the days until summer.
