A Carnival cruise ship crashed into a dock on the west side of Manhattan, leaving the structure with some damage but causing no injuries, officials said.
The Carnival Horizon ship was arriving at Pier 90, at West 50th Street past the West Side Highway, just before 5:50 a.m. Tuesday when it smacked into the dock, damaging two metal support beams and part of a parking level above, the FDNY and a spokesman for the city’s Department of Buildings said.

Based on the study, Rhode Island is a very relaxing state to live in. It is tied for 2nd with Oregon for the lowest average workweek hours and it takes the top spot for the highest average leisure time spent per day.

Michigan had the 5th highest average leisure time spent per day and was tied for 5th with Vermont for the lowest average workweek hours.
No one was injured and "impact to the bow of the ship was minor," a spokesman for Carnival said.
Passengers were able to disembark the ship without any issue and the incident wasn't expected to impact the ship's sailing schedule, he added.
Terminal operator Ports America was planning to bring in contractors to repair the damage, DOB's spokesman said.
The Coast Guard says it is also investigating.

Evann Clingan was in Dumbo Sunday when she found a DSLR camera with thousands of wedding photos on its memory card.
Clingan is now hoping people who read this article might be able to help her get it back to its owner.
The camera's memory card is full of wedding and engagement photos taken around New York City.
Clingan has filed a police report and also posted a listing on Craigslist.
If anyone recognizes themselves in the images or believes they may know who the camera belongs to, please email limnewyork@nbcuni.com.
Clingan said she felt particularly bad for the couples involved because she herself is getting married soon, and believes the photos are one of the most important parts of the day.
"My fiancee and I were just saying we can't imagine it if it were our pictures, it's a mistake that could happen to anyone," she said.
Clingan could not find any images on the memory card that might identify the photographer by name.
