Woman Beats Grandmother, Slits Her Throat, Confesses to Police: Source Says

A woman is accused of murdering her grandmother inside her Ambler, Pennsylvania home.

A woman told police she beat her grandmother and then slit the older woman’s throat, according to a high-ranking law enforcement source.

Police in Ambler, Pennsylvania, arrived at the grandmother's home on the 100 block of South Chestnut Street shortly after 6 a.m. The front door was unlocked. Once inside, investigators found the body of a woman lying on the bedroom floor.  

A bat and knife were discovered nearby, a source told NBC10. 

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and Ambler Borough Police Department are working together on the investigation. 

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
