2 Killed, 4 Hospitalized in Shootings, Stabbing at Philly Community

Police are trying to determine if deadly incidents at the Wilson Park community are connected.

Two people were killed at the Wilson Park Homes in South Philadelphia on Monday night, and police are investigating if the incidents are connected.

A domestic dispute in a South Philadelphia neighborhood ended with two people stabbed and three people shot, one fatally.

Authorities say the incident may have also spurred another shooting that killed a 24-year-old man at the Wilson Park housing community.

The domestic dispute occurred around 9:40 p.m. Monday. Authorities say a man was stabbed in his arm, and he then shot two women and a man. A 40-year-old woman was also stabbed.

One of the women who was shot, a 46-year-old, died, while the two other victims, a 51-year-old woman and 59-year-old man, were hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The second shooting, on Point Breeze Avenue, happened about 90 minutes later on a nearby street. Authorities say it may have been an act of retaliation.

Investigators continued to sort out the crime scenes overnight.
