North Wildwood Roller Coaster Being Rebuilt, Piece by Piece

After providing thrills for people for over two decades, North Wildwood’s Nor’easter is now in pieces. NBC10’s Ted Greenberg tells us why.

A popular Jersey shore roller coaster is being dismantled piece by piece as part of a $5 million rebuilding project.

The Great Nor'Easter roller coaster on Morey's Pier in Wildwood is having its track replaced and will have a new paint scheme when it reopens next year.

The Press of Atlantic City reports the 2,100-foot-long roller coaster is being rehabbed by the Dutch company that built it, Vekoma.

The coaster has been a favorite of riders for 21 years -- since it started pulling people into the air before dropping them down nearly 100 feet at more than 50 miles per hour.
