If you’re looking for a family friendly way to get “wild” this summer, this may be the place for you.
Family Vacation Critic named the Wildwood, New Jersey boardwalk the #1 Boardwalk for Families in the nation for the third year in a row.
With three different amusement parks, over 100 rides and attractions, and multiple restaurants and shops, Wildwood’s title of Best Beach Boardwalk is well deserved, according to Lissa Poirot, editor of Family Vacation Critic.
“When choosing our list of the best, we look for boardwalks that really stand out as having something for everyone in the family to enjoy—rides, restaurants, and other fun amenities,” Poirot said. “Wildwood’s boardwalk fits the bill, and then some—it’s a classic East Coast Boardwalk, filled with tons of rides and activities for the young and the young at heart.”
That spirit of timelessness is a big part of the attraction to the boardwalk, according to Ben Rose, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority.
“We like to think the Wildwood boardwalk is one of the true old seaside boardwalks left in the country,” Rose said.
Many are already aware of the boardwalk’s reputation, but the high honor from Family Vacation Critic helps spread the word.

“[The ranking] has an impact on anyone who is deciding where they vacation to the Jersey Shore. When they see it is ranked #1, it piques their interest,” Rose said.
Family Vacation Critic’s list is only one of many tourism honors Wildwood has received from national media.
“Any time we receive national recognition just reinforces our consistent message about the Wildwoods being the #1 family vacation destination at the Jersey Shore,” Rose said.
