Wildwood Is the Worst

Wildwood, N.J., is named the worst place to live in the state.

Wildwood may be fun in the sun during the summer months but NJ Magazine named Wildwood the worst place to live in New Jersey.

New Jersey Monthly Magazine named the shore town of Wildwood as the worst place to live in the state.

Ratings were made by taking into account population growth, home values, property taxes, land development, employment, crime rate, school performance and proximity to services, according to the Cape May County Herald.

The poll was taken by Monmouth University, and resulted in Bedminster Township getting the highest ranking in quality of life.

Out of the 566 municipalities in the state, Wildwood ranked dead last.

Upper Township earned the No. 5 spot, making it the best place to live in South Jersey.

Dennis Township, 113; Cape May Point, 117; Lower Township, 272; Ocean City, 276; Stone Harbor, 325; Cape May City, 390; Avalon, 437; Middle Township, 456; Sea Isle City, 457; West Wildwood, 479; Wildwood Crest, 482; West Cape May, 492; Woodbine, 531; and North Wildwood, 553.
