West Chester University Student Accused of Frat House Rape

Police charged West Chester University student Mauricio Sanjuan-Martinez with rape after an alleged incident at a frat party at Kappa Delta Rho that took place last weekend.

A 19-year-old West Chester University student is facing rape and other related charges for a sexual assault that took place Sunday in a campus fraternity house.

Mauricio Sanjuan-Martinez, of Gettysburg, is being held at the Chester County Prison on $25,000 cash bail, according to the West Chester Police Department.

Investigators said that the alleged sexual assault took place in the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity house around 4 a.m. Sunday, while  Joe Rosenberg, the Executive Director of the national chapter of KDR, says the assault happened in a house rented by several students, some of which are memvers of the West Chester KDR chapter.

West Chester University officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
