Wayward Dolphins in South Jersey River

More controversy over the wayward dolphins that seem to have made their home in a South Jersey river. It’s November, and they’re still in there. A pod of bottlenose dolphins has been swimming in the Shrewsbury River since early June. This is in an area near Sea Bright, Monmouth County. There are about a dozen of them. Two of the bottlenose dolphins have died and a third was found dead last week. But it’s reportedly a common dolphin, and not part of the original group. Federal officials say a rescue effort is too risky. Animal advocates say the dolphins need to be moved before the weather gets too cold.
