Video: House Decimated in West Philly

A blast that neighbors say sounded like a bomb, shook the block and leveled a two-story portion of a home in West Philadelphia Friday morning. Two other nearby homes were damaged. No one was injured. Emergency crews evacuated the people closest to the blast. Neighbors in the 100 block of N. 63rd Street said they heard the blast around 10:45 a.m. PECO and PGW are on the scene along with Licenses and Inspections investigators to figure out exactly what happened.
