Victim Pleas for Public's Help Following Robbery

A local business man who was headed to make a hefty deposit at a Northeast Philadelphia bank when he was shot and robbed is now begging for the public's help in identifying the men who stole from him.

NBC10's George Spencer spoke exclusively to 37-year-old business owner who says that he believes the attack was planned by customers from the bank or grocery store that had seen him make deposits before.

"They watched me," he says. "They knew my vehicle."

Police say the man pulled into the busy Pathmark parking
lot at Large Street and Bleigh Avenue just after 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, when two masked men, who'd been waiting over an hour for their prey, pulled behind him -- blocking him in his parking spot.

The armed men demanded the businessman's $70,000 cash deposit before shooting him in the arm and taking off in a white Dodge caravan.

"Honesly I couldn't sleep a single night since that night."

The victim says the only thing that will bring him peace, is the capture of the masked men.

"If these guys who did it are on the street, tomorrow, it's going to happen to anybody..."

Little is known about the suspects, except the make, model and color of their getaway car.

A 10,000 reward is being offered from police and the victim.

Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
