Off-Duty Officer Hurt, Man Killed in Block Party Shooting

An off-duty Philadelphia police officer and one other man were shot when gunfire rang out at a Southwest Philadelphia block party late on July 4. The officer was in recovery Thursday after undergoing surgery. The other man died.
