Trump Looks to Limit Birthright Citizenship

A week before the midterm election, the president says he plans to use an executive order to do away with the 14th Amendment. That Amendment declares, “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.” House speaker Paul Ryan says President Donald Trump can’t end birthright citizenship on his own.
