Truck Catches Fire on I-95 Southbound Near Betsy Ross Bridge

Traffic was heavily backed up in the area.

Southbound lanes were shut down on I-95 near the Betsy Ross Bridge in Philadelphia due to a truck fire Wednesday night.

All lanes on I-95 southbound were closed from the Betsy Ross Bridge to the Allegheny Avenue ramp. Traffic was heavily backed up in the area.

Three southbound lanes later reopened on I-95 and only the shoulder is currently closed.

No injuries have been reported. Officials have not yet revealed the cause of the fire.
