Triple Shooting Kills 1, Hurts 2 in Chester

NBC10’s Jesse Gary reports outside police headquarters in Chester, Delaware County where investigators are looking for the gunman that left one person dead and two others shot.

An early morning triple shooting in Chester has claimed the life of one man and left two others hospitalized.

The shooting took place around midnight at the intersection of W. 7th and Lloyd Streets, Chester Police say. Three people were shot and taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center. But one man, identified by family as 30-year-old VaLondon Geary, died from his injuries.

"I don't know what happened. Why it happened. But it needs to stop," said Geary's cousin Malika Trusty. "It's too much going on in this city with this violence."

The conditions of the two other victims have not been released.

Detectives are investigating the motive for the shooting.
