Mobile Homes Catch Fire in South Jersey

One home was destroyed, two others damaged in a fire in West Deptford, NJ. One person was hurt by the blaze, which was caused by a space heater.

Three mobile homes caught fire early Thursday in South Jersey.

The blaze broke out around 6:30 along the 1700 block of Crown Point Road — that’s just off Interstate 295 — in West Deptford, said Gloucester County dispatchers.

Medics rushed one man to Crozer Chester Medical Center with burns and smoke inhalation, said firefighters.

As Sky Force10 hovered overhead, smoke could be seen pouring from multiple trailers as firefighters tried to bring the fire under control.

The blaze, which county prosecutors said appeared to be accidentally caused by a space heater, left one home leveled and two others damaged.
