Thunderstorms Return for Second Straight Week

We’re in for even more wet weather this week. When will the rain finally end? NBC10 First Alert Weather chief meteorologist Tammie Souza has the forecast.

Don’t hang the raincoat up just yet! Another rainy week is upon us with passing thunderstorms and showers a possibility throughout the region into the weekend.

The chance of thunderstorms and localized flooding picks up after Monday, and humidity will reach uncomfortable levels in between on-and-off storms this week.

“Tuesday through Friday will feature tropical humidity and scattered heavy, drenching t-storms," First Alert meteorologist Steve Sosna said. "While the weather will not be raining the entire time, any of these thunderstorms can produce torrential downpours and localized street and highway flooding."

Temperatures are expected to reach the middle 80s throughout the week with a 60 percent chance of rain Wednesday through Friday.

The expected storms and showers comes just a week after heavy rain and flooding hit a 100 -mile area of Pennsylvania causing two deaths and forcing Hersheypark and Knoebels park to shut down.
