Teen Dies After Being Shot in Face

A Teen was shot inside a row home at 16th and Wallace in Philadelphia’s Spring Garden section. Police say the death may have been the result of someone playing with a gun.

A 16-year-old Philadelphia boy died after being found with a gunshot wound to the head Sunday afternoon.

And, it appears someone playing with a gun could be the reason for the boy's death.

Antonio Flores was found inside an apartment at 1616 Wallace Street in the Spring Garden section of the city. The victim was shot in the face.

Medics rushed Flores to Hahnemann University Hospital where he later died.

The circumstances of the shooting remained under investigation later Sunday but homicide detectives did say that it was possible that someone was playing with a gun.

NBC10 reporter Na'eem Douglas spoke to neighbors who were shocked to hear of the shooting.

One woman described Flores as an easy going guy who stayed out of trouble.

"He was a chill person, he was always laughing and smiling," said one woman.

Police didn't reveal any suspects in the shooting.
