A woman faces two homicide by vehicle charges after police say her out-of-control sport utility vehicle smashed into a group waiting at a bus stop almost a year ago, killing two people.
Caitlyn Clark, 27, of Nazareth faces 21 counts stemming from the Sept. 10 crash along Race Street near the Lehigh Valley International Airport in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, Pa. Among the counts are aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, involuntary manslaughter, driving without a license, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals, according to court records.
Police said Clark’s Nissan Pathfinder hit a utility pole and people at the Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority (LANTA) bus stop, then plowed through a fence. Fifty-one-year-old Elias Tabarani of Allentown died at the scene and 28-year-old Angel Bosch of Easton later died at a hospital. Two other men -- Angel Guerrido-Lopez and Lawrence Oyster, both of Allentown -- were seriously injured.
A listed number for Clark couldn't be found; it's unclear whether she has an attorney.
