Online Meeting Leads to Armed Robbery Inside South Philly Home: Police

Police say a man and woman robbed a South Philadelphia homeowner at gunpoint following an online meeting.

A man and a woman robbed a South Philadelphia homeowner at gunpoint after meeting the victim online, according to police.

Police say both suspects showed up to the victim’s home on the 1600 block of S. Juniper Street at 9:20 p.m. Saturday after they met online. When the homeowner allowed them inside they robbed the victim at gunpoint, stealing around $4,000 in cash as well as electronics, according to police. The suspects then fled in a black 4-door Sedan.

Police have not released a detailed description of the male suspect but say he was wearing a brown and white striped shirt. The second suspect is described as a black woman with pink braids wearing a white jacket.
