Crews Rescue Pilot After Small Aircraft Lands in Field

A pilot was rescued after his small aircraft went down on a grassy field in South Harrison Township Saturday.

Crews rescued a pilot after a small aircraft landed in a grassy field in South Harrison Township, Gloucester County Saturday afternoon.

The pilot, from Wilmington, Delaware, departed from Alloway Airport in Bridgeton, New Jersey but began to experience engine trouble. He then made an emergency landing on a grassy field near Monroeville and Lincoln roads in South Harrison Township.

When the aircraft landed it overturned. Responding crews were able to remove the pilot. The pilot, who was the only person inside the aircraft, was not seriously injured.
