Skull found in a pond in Berks County identified as a man missing since 2004

A skull was discovered in a pond in Berks County that police say is connected to a 20-year-old missing person’s case. According to the District Attorney’s Office, the skull was found by a 13-year-old in 2022. Advanced DNA analysis identified the remains as a man who left Pottstown in 2004 after attempting to kill his wife at their home. Based on the condition of the skull and lack of remains, the cause of death cannot be determined.
