Search Conducted After Report of Stroller Thrown Into Wilmington River

Authorities in Wilmington, Delaware searched a river after a woman reported seeing someone throw a stroller off a bridge.

Two teams of divers went into the Brandywine River near 16th and Pine Streets around 8 p.m. Friday to search for the stroller. The divers did not immediately locate anything.

Police received a call from a woman shortly before 8 p.m. saying she witnessed the stroller being tossed off the Pine Street bridge. It's not clear if the caller said a baby was inside.

Authorities tell NBC10 they don't know whether the report is truthful, but they searched anyway.

Police say no one has been reported missing at this time.

It was not immediately known when, or if, the search would resume.
