Sinkhole Swallows Up Philadelphia School Bus

A sinkhole stopped a Philadelphia school bus in Kensington Friday afternoon.

A school bus carrying Philadelphia students crashed into a sinkhole along a Kensington street Friday afternoon.

The wreck left the front wheels of the bus in the hole along E Ontario near C Street around 3:30 p.m.

No students were hurt. They got off the Philadelphia School District bus and got onto another bus.

No word yet on what school the kids came from.

The Philadelphia water Department was called to the scene to examine the sinkhole.

It took crews hours, and some large machinery, to finally get the bus out of the hole shortly before 6 p.m.
