Robbers Target 2 Dunkin Donuts: Cops

Police are searching for two men who they say robbed two local Dunkin Donuts.

Police are searching for two men who they say robbed two local Dunkin Donuts.

On July 10 at 4:20 a.m., police say the two men targeted the Dunkin Donuts on the 5400 block of North 5th Street. One of the suspects allegedly jumped over the counter and stole $300 in cash from the registers. Police also say the second suspect tried to open the safe in the office but was unsuccessful. The men then fled through the back door on foot in an unknown direction, according to investigators.

On July 13, at 4:47 a.m., police say the same two men entered the Dunkin Donuts on the 5700 block of Wayne Avenue. The men, one armed with a crowbar, approached the employee standing behind the counter and demanded money, according to investigators. Police say one of the suspects took an unknown amount of cash from the registers. The suspects also allegedly tried to open the safe but were unsuccessful. Both men fled on foot towards Rittenhouse Street, according to police.

The first suspect is described as a thin black male between 16 and 20 years of age, standing between 5-foot-10 and 5-foot-11. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt with the number “77” on the back, gloves white mask and jeans.

The second suspect is described as a medium built, 20-year-old black male standing between 6-feet and 6-foot-1. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, gloves, dark colored pants and a dark colored mask.
