Rider Reactions Mixed as SEPTA Closes El Station

Sunday marked the closure of the Somerset Station on SEPTA’s Market–Frankford Line in Kensington. SEPTA said drug use, unsanitary conditions and other crime prompted the closure, and while some riders agree, others say limiting their access to public transit is not the answer.
