Potentially Dangerous Heat Ahead

From Phillies fans to joggers, Philadelphians say they’re ready for the oppressive heat that’s coming into the area.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning, for the urbanized areas of the Delaware Valley. The warning is from 11 a.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday.

This means that a prolonged period of hot weather will take place.

Temperatures in the upper 90s, along with high humidity, will make it feel more like 100+.

Be sure to take precautions, over the next few days, to help beat the heat.

Tips:

1. Drink plenty of fluids.

2. Wear light, loose clothing.

3. Stay in air-conditioned rooms.

4. Stay out of the sun
