Police Video: Robbery Queen Village

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the assistance in the identification of the suspect responsible for multiple robberies in the Queen Village section of South Philadelphia. These robberies occurred on June 16, 2012, and June 18, 2012, between the times of 6:00am and 8:00am. On June 16, 2012, at 6:15am, the complainant was walking on the 400 block of Christian Street when an unknown male approached her from behind. The suspect grabbed her by her neck and assaulted her. After assaulting the complainant, the suspect took her purse and fled in an unknown direction. On June 17, 2012, at 7:25am, while the complainant was walking on the 600 block of Catharine Street she noticed an unknown male on a dark colored bicycle with a white “T” shirt covered his face circling the block. The suspect then approached her from behind and grabbed the complainant by the neck forcing her to the ground. The suspect then took her purse containing $300 in cash, various credit cards and identification and fled east on Catharine Street. Suspect Description: Black male, 20years-of-age, medium build, medium complexion, white t-shirt, riding a dark colored bicycle. If you see this suspect do not approach him, contact 911 immediately.
