Police: Man Admits Robbing 2 Credit Unions

A man has been jailed on charges he robbed two branches of the same northwestern Pennsylvania credit union about a month apart.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 30-year-old Angel Lebron, of Erie.

The Erie Times-News reports Lebron was arrested after police found him hiding in a motel room early Wednesday. Police say he acknowledged robbing one Erie Federal Credit Union branch on Friday and another on June 13.

Police began looking for Lebron after a witness gave police a description of the suspect's car and a partial license plate number following Friday's robbery.

Erie County has been plagued by bank or credit union robberies, with 14 this year. Lebron's arrest leaves all but three unsolved.
