Police Bust Violent Drug Ring in Delaware, 35 Face Charges

Authorities in Delaware say 35 people are facing charges in an organized crime enterprise that involves two killings, home invasions and distribution of heroin and cocaine.

Attorney General Matt Denn and Delaware State Police Superintendent Col. Colonel Nathaniel McQueen Jr. announced Thursday that six people identified as home invasion ringleaders were charged with first-degree murder in two fatal shootings. Officials say three were arrested Thursday, but three more remain at large.

The operation's first phase ended in early May, when police say they seized more than $135,000 in suspected drug proceeds, 19 firearms, 15 vehicles and illegal drugs including cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamines. Police say several related investigations are continuing.
