Plane Towed Off Turnpike

A small plane was towed off the New Jersey Turnpike Monday morning, Feb. 1, 2010 after making an emergency landing. The plane set down in the Northbound lanes near Exit 4 in Cherry Hill just before 7 a.m. It was carrying two people — the pilot and a local traffic reporter. No injuries but there were major traffic backups throughout the morning rush. Check out our photo gallery of the plane’s emergency landing.
