Philadelphia Orchestra votes to authorize a strike

The Philadelphia Orchestra is announcing its members have voted to authorize a strike. The vote means they’ve given their union the okay to officially strike if their contract expires and a new deal can’t be worked out. The union is seeking higher wages and improvement in retirement benefits, and the contract is set to expire in a little more than two weeks.
