Philadelphia Highway Patrol Officer Critically Injured in Holmesburg Motorcycle Crash

Philadelphia Police Officer Andy Chan, a 24 year veteran of the highway patrol unit, was seriously injured in a Thursday night crash in the city’s Holmesburg section. Chan was heading to work when he was struck by a van and thrown from his police motorcycle. He suffered serious head trauma, according to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross.
