Loved Ones Mourn Former High School Football Player Found Dead in Park

Three teenagers have been charged in the shooting death of Iziah Lewis, a former Pennridge High School football player.

Loved ones are mourning a former high school football player who was found dead in a Bucks County park overnight.

Police were called to Kulp Memorial Park on 2nd Street in Perkasie around 12:30 a.m. Saturday for the report of a disturbance. When they arrived they found the body of Iziah Amir Raymond Lewis, 19, of Sellersville. He was taken to Sellersville Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Lewis was shot to death following a fight. Three teenagers were arrested and charged as adults in his death. Harrison Moss, 15, of Wyncote, Pennsylvania, Noah Strickland, 16, of Perkasie and Christopher Pavack, 16, also of Perkasie are all charged with criminal homicide, robbery, carrying concealed firearms and other related offenses. They were remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility without bail. Their preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 7.

Lewis was a wide receiver for the Pennridge High School football team and graduated last year. News of his death sparked a huge response on social media with friends and teammates sharing their memories of him by using the hashtag #RIPZay.

“He was a wonderful young man and he was appreciated by everyone on the team,” Pennridge coach Jeff Hollenbach told NBC10. “It’s horrible news for all of us.”

Samantha Yothers, a friend of Lewis and manager for the Pennridge football team, recalled the team’s first game last year when Lewis scored a touchdown on the opening kickoff return.

“He called it in the locker room and said, ‘I’m gonna run it back,’” Yothers said. “And he ran it back on the opening kickoff.”

An autopsy for Lewis is scheduled for Sunday.
